Since qualifying as a GP in 2012 in Northern Ireland, Dr Jillian Hunter has worked both in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Since 2014, Dr Jillian Hunter has also worked as an NHS Emergency Medicine doctor gaining extensive experience. She holds valid life support certificates in adult and paediatric resuscitation. Alongside her Kingsbridge work, she is an Undergraduate Simulation Lead for the Western HSC Trust co-ordinating and developing local teaching programmes for medical students.
Dr Jillian Hunter is an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor for the Royal College of Surgeons and a medical student OSCE examiner for Queen’s University. She has previously been a Foundation Programme Educational Supervisor for junior doctors. She is also a sessional GP in the NHS.

Most of her spare time is also medical! Dr Hunter is a Volunteer Regional Clinical Manager for St John Ambulance (NI) with responsibility for clinical policy development, clinical audit and quality assurance.
At the weekend, she can usually be found in a muddy field or on the back of a motorbike providing event medical cover across the UK. Previous event work has included Crowd Doctor for the London Olympics North Greenwich Arena, GP at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Athletes’ Village and various other triathlons, marathons and endurance events.
When not doing something medical, she enjoys travelling and walking. Last year, she was part of the Cancer Focus Arctic Survival trip to Sweden where we raised in excess of £70,000. Dr Jillian Hunter's claim to fame is being World Stone Skimming Champion in 2008!
