Dr Catherine Scullion’s area of specialism is Adult Mental Health. She began working as an Assistant Psychologist in the NHS in 2000 and has been employed as a Clinical Psychologist in adult mental health departments in the NHS since 2007.

She works with people who are experiencing all levels of psychological and emotional distress. This includes people who are regarded as having mild to moderate mental health difficulties as well as individuals who are considered to have severe and enduring mental health problems. 

She was awarded a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Birmingham in 2007.  She is a Chartered Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. 

In addition to offering psychological assessment and formulation, her therapeutic work can draw upon a wide range of psychological interventions including CBT, DBT, Compassion focused therapy, ACT, MBT and EMDR.
