Due to continued expansion and increased workload, Kingsbridge Health Care Group have a new opportunity for an additional Radiology Administrator to join our KPH North West team in Ballykelly.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will undertake planning of the patient pathway throughout radiology from referral to report distribution. From their location in the Kingsbridge Private Hospital North West, they will work across a range of radiological specialties to ensure that capacity requirements are met within contractual and clinical deadlines. The candidate will act as a key point of contact providing an effective & efficient a communication channel between clinician, radiologist, and Imaging department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficient, effective and focused response to all enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Ensuring all records are accurate and up to date relating to patient treatment.
  • As part of a team ensure that patients are handled quickly and effectively.
  • Liaise with clinicians & colleagues across a variety of teams throughout the Kingsbridge Healthcare Group.
  • Ensure that quality standards are met and improved upon.
  • Monitor quality standards ensuring patient expectations are met.
  • Monitor KPI to ensure referral to reporting turnaround times are met, both for private and WLI patients.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Use of IT systems such as Outlook, MS office programmes
  • 5 GCSE grades A-C including Maths and English or Equivalent
  • Willingness to undertake training and development
  • Excellent communication skills
  •  Understand the role of teamwork in providing a quality service
  • Understand the need for accuracy  and ability to prioritise
  • Experience of forecasting demand and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner
  • An eye for accuracy and detail when dealing with patient records
  • Understand the role of teamwork in providing quality service

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in private healthcare with a strong commercial focus
  • Previous experience with Sectra IT systems or NIPACS
  • Experience of the use of KPIs
  • MS Excel qualification
  • Evidence of training in a business support or customer service organisation
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
