Kingsbridge Healthcare Group are currently seeking to fill the role of Appointments Advisor (Inpatient & Daycase) within the Planning Department. The successful candidate will be based at Kingsbridge Private Hospital Ballykelly.

Job Summary

As an Appointments Advisor (Inpatient & Daycase), the successful candidate will join a highly dynamic team responsible for scheduling surgical procedure appointments. The candidate will gain an in-depth knowledge of the Surgical booking process across a range of medical specialties.  The booking process will take place over the phone.  The candidate will be a point of contact for reassuring patients of the booking process and helping them with any paperwork or documentation that they may require.

We are looking for highly motivated applicants who are committed to producing quality outcomes and those who thrive on the challenge of working in a fast paced and busy office environment.  Applicants must be willing to work Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling of surgical procedures within specific time scales
  • Ensuring all records are accurate and up to date relating to patient treatment
  • Liaising with colleagues across a variety of teams
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of department
  • Dealing with queries from patients over the phone, in person and via email, ensuring timely responses
  • Help patients fill in paperwork and request documentation if required
  • Liaising with external agencies in a professional and efficient manner

5 GCSE grades A-C including Maths and English or Equivalent.

 

Experience

Evidence of experience in the full MS Suite including Word and Excel

Background in medical administration

Special Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of the Data Protection Act and importance of confidentiality

 

The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people via the company telephone and other electronic systems

Knowledge of medical terminology
