I am a Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon working at the Belfast City Hospital in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. I have completed my training in Plastic Surgery before embarking on further training in breast surgery, which is my sub-speciality interest.
My private practice rooms are with Kingsbridge Private Hospital.
My training in Plastic Surgery was undertaken in Northern Ireland with fellowships in Newcastle and Liverpool.
My special interest is primarily in Breast reconstruction following breast cancer or conditions people are born with (e.g. congenital conditions resulting in uneven sized/shaped breasts). Other areas I provide for include breast and body aesthetic surgery, treatment of skin lumps/cancers and non-surgical interventions.
Outside of medicine, I have a keen interest in teaching and medico-politics. I am active in pre-medical, undergraduate medicine and post-graduate / specialist training. I sit on various committees including those in the British Medical Association, standing up for and improving doctors’ working conditions.
