Getting a Prescription

Kingsbridge consultants and private GPs can prescribe medication related to your treatment.

Most medicines are available from our onsite pharmacies at Kingsbridge Private Hospital Belfast and Kingsbridge Private Hospital North West.

Our pharmacy teams are always happy to help and can check medicine availability for you.

Paying for Your Medication

All private prescriptions need to be taken to a pharmacy and paid for directly by you.

The pharmacy team can explain the cost if you have any questions.

What We’re Able to Provide

We can only issue and dispense prescriptions that are directly related to your treatment at Kingsbridge.

Unfortunately, we cannot process prescriptions from outside Kingsbridge.

Medication Recommendations From Your Consultant

Sometimes your consultant may suggest a medication in a clinic letter. This is a recommendation, not a prescription.

If you need the medication, your GP will need to issue the prescription. Your GP will decide whether it is appropriate for you.
