Facilities Support Officer

Kingsbridge Healthcare Group are currently seeking to fill the role of Facilities Support Officer within the Hospital Services Department. The successful candidate will be based at Kingsbridge Private Hospital Sligo but may be required to travel to other Company locations as and when required.

Contract Full time (Temporary 6 months- with possibility of becoming permanent)
Hours 39 hours Monday - Sunday
Responsible to Safety, Health & Environmental Officer
Accountable to Safety, Health & Environmental Officer

Job Summary

The Facilities Support Officer will support the facilities team to ensure that the buildings and assets in the Sligo location are maintained to the highest possible standards in line with all legal and regulatory requirements. The FSO will provide support with health and safety matters and complete hospital logistical tasks.  The person will need to be flexible in their approach and able to adapt and allocate resources in an effective manner to meet the business needs to ensure all Estates operational needs are met.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Estates Compliance Manager in H & S safety matters.
  2. Complete and record hospital daily/weekly/monthly safety checks.
  3. Provide logistical support to the hospital, by way of local pickups and deliveries.
  4. To provide quality assurance for tasks completed by the maintenance team
  5. To assist the ECM in setting up a new Estates software platform, which will include barcoding assets and data inputting.
  6. Complete department risk assessments, pre-construction risk assessments and contractors site inductions
  7. Support maintenance when required

The above list is not exhaustive and additional / alternative tasks may be required from time to time as directed.

 

Person Specification:

Qualifications

Essential

Junior Certificate - 5 grades A-C including Maths and English or equivalent

Full, clean driver’s license.

 

Experience

Essential

A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role.

Desirable

Previous experience in private healthcare.

 

Special Knowledge and Skills

Essential

Proven experience of joinery, handyman, and painting skills.

Desirable

Working knowledge of Microsoft programs

Essential

Motivated and enthusiastic approach to work.

Commitment to ongoing development.

Willingness to provide flexible cover as and when required.

Ability to work on own initiative.

Excellent communication both oral and written.
