Many bladder problems are common in both men and women.
Urodynamics is a test which can help find out the cause for your bladder problems such as incontinence, or difficulty in passing urine.
At Kingsbridge Hospital, you can be assured that our team of experienced Consultants and nurses will look after you every step of the way.
The test itself, is usually done as an outpatient procedure and takes approximately 30 minutes. This involves inserting a fine tube into your bladder. For most patients, this is not a painful test, however, in some cases patients may feel slight discomfort.
Prior to your appointment at Kingsbridge Hospital, you will be provided with some information regarding your test and what is required. We would ask that you keep a diary of how your bladder performs in the days leading up to your test as this will help your Consultant in making a fully informed diagnosis and treatment plan.
We would ask that you arrive at your appointment with a comfortably full bladder and you will be advised to drink plenty of fluids after your test for at least 24 hours.
Our team will support you through every stage, from your first enquiry to your recovery.
