Our GP-Led Minor Injuries Clinic is a specialised service that treats a variety of non-serious injuries. These clinics are staffed by experienced healthcare professionals, including GPs and nurse practitioners, who are trained to handle minor injuries quickly and effectively. The goal is to provide immediate care for injuries that do not require the advanced resources of a hospital ED.

At Kingsbridge Diagnostic and Treatment Centre, our GP-Led Minor Injuries Clinic provides you with an appointment with one of our private GPs who have experience in the diagnosis and treatment of minor injuries. 

Rapid Access to Treatments and Diagnostics

Should you require further investigations or treatments, our highly trained team of Nurses, Radiologists and Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeons will be available to assist on the same day.  

Patients will have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic technology including MRI, X-Ray and Ultrasound. Simple fractures can be diagnosed, splinted, and referred, if necessary. Should you need surgery then you are in the right hands!

Cuts and Grazes – Treatment may involve cleaning, dressing, and possibly stitching wounds.
Minor Burns and Scalds – Immediate care can prevent complications and aid in faster recovery.
Sports Injuries, Sprains and Strains – These can be assessed and managed, with advice on rest and rehabilitation.
Fractures and Broken Bones – Simple fractures can be diagnosed, splinted, and referred if necessary
Insect Bites and Stings – Treatment for allergic reactions or infections caused by bites and stings.
Minor Eye Injuries – Foreign bodies in the eye or minor trauma can be treated.
Sickness – Nausea, diarrhoea and vomiting.

Infections – Including urinary tract and ear infections.

Minor Injuries we are unable to treat

  • Children under the age of 12 months
  • Pregnancy-related emergencies
  • Chest pain or irregular heartbeat
  • Unconsciousness, seizures or stroke
  • Overdoses, poisoning or attempted suicide
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Severe breathing difficulties
  • Vision problems or severe head injuries
  • Vomiting requiring IV fluids
  • Severe headache

Steps to get started

Patients can call 028 9066 7878 to connect with a dedicated GP admin team where you will be triaged and offered an appointment within the same day.

If you are diagnosed with a fracture, and require a follow up this will be offered within 7 days of the initial visit. Should you require an x-ray, the GP will have the result on the same day.
