Dyspepsia Clinic

Are you troubled with recurrent pain in the upper abdomen (tummy)? Often this may be associated with a feeling of fullness earlier than expected while eating. This is known as dyspepsia and may be accompanied by bloating, excess wind, nausea and a burning sensation.

Dyspepsia is most frequently associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) or gastritis. Less frequently it may be caused by peptic ulcers of the stomach, duodenum or with stomach cancer. If you are over 55 and have recent onset dyspepsia it may require further investigation.
