CT scans can be performed on any part of the body and are very useful because they can demonstrate several kinds of body tissue with great clarity. CT is an important tool in medical imaging and a sensitive method for diagnosing a wide range of conditions including cancer, heart and vascular disease, trauma and musculoskeletal disorders.
More recently CT is being utilised in preventative medicine and screening, for example, the use of CT virtual colonoscopy for patients with a high risk of colon cancer.
At Kingsbridge Diagnostic & Treatment Centre, and at Kingsbridge Hospital Ballykelly,we are able to offer state of the art facilities with our 256-slice MDCT scanner. Evening and weekend scanning is available (depending on type of scan required).
