The Cross-Border Healthcare Plan lets people in the Republic of Ireland pay for treatment or surgery in Northern Ireland and then claim money back from the HSE.
Refunds may cover all or part of the cost, depending on the treatment.

To qualify, you must live in the Republic of Ireland, be eligible for HSE-funded care, and have a referral from a GP or consultant. You don’t need to be on a waiting list.
