Mr Michael McBride
Nose Reconstruction (Rhinoplasty) is a surgical procedure that restores the structure, shape, and function of the nose. It can address damage from injury, illness, or congenital conditions and improve both appearance and breathing.
Nose reconstruction or nose job surgery is a surgical procedure that changes the shape or structure of your nose. The procedure can correct issues such as a crooked nose, a bump on the bridge, or problems with breathing. It can also improve the overall proportion and balance of your facial features.
Nose reconstruction costs vary depending on the procedure and your personal treatment plan. We’ll give you a clear price guide upfront and explain what’s included.

Rhinoplasty can improve the way your nose functions and looks. It may help you breathe more easily if you have a blockage or structural issue. The procedure can also adjust the shape, size, or angle of your nose to create a more balanced appearance with the rest of your face.
Undergoing rhinoplasty can increase your confidence and satisfaction with your facial features while addressing any medical concerns.

There are different surgical techniques that may be used depending on your needs. Open rhinoplasty involves making a small incision at the base of the nose to provide greater access for reshaping. Closed rhinoplasty is carried out through incisions inside the nostrils, leaving no visible scars.
Your surgeon will recommend the most suitable approach based on the changes you want and the structure of your nose.
Knowing what happens at each stage of surgery can help you feel prepared and more at ease. Here’s what you can expect:
Before Surgery
You will have a consultation where the surgeon reviews your medical history and examines your nose. You may be asked to stop smoking and avoid certain medicines before surgery. Clear instructions will be given to help you prepare.
During Surgery
Rhinoplasty is usually performed under general anaesthetic. The surgeon makes precise incisions either inside the nostrils or across the base of the nose. The bone and cartilage are then reshaped to achieve the planned result. The procedure normally takes between one and three hours.
After Surgery
You may need to wear a splint to support your nose while it heals. Swelling and bruising are common in the first weeks. Most people return to normal daily activities after one to two weeks, although full healing can take several months. Your surgeon will arrange follow up appointments to check your progress.
