IPC Lead Nurse

Kingsbridge Private Hospital are currently seeking to fill the role of IPC Lead Nurse for our Main Hospital in Belfast. The successful candidate will be based at Kingsbridge Private Hospital but may be required to travel to other Company locations as and when required.

Contract Permanent, part time/full-time
Hours 30 - 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Responsible to Chief Operating Officer
Accountable to Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary

  1. To lead on Infection control and prevention throughout the hospital and outpatient settings.
  2. Participate in the development of IPC protocols and policies and support implementation of new protocols and policies within the Hospital. Work towards this in conjunction with Patient Safety Nurse who leads on policy/ protocols development.
  3. Gather, analyse and report a range of audit data and information. Submit reports in an acceptable and professional manner. Provide quality reports as required.
  4. Act as a mentor/clinical supervisor and resource person for IPC champions.
  5. Attend and chair IPC meetings as required.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified RGN with active NMC Registration.
  • Post graduate IPC qualification.
  • Understanding of the Regulatory process for the independent sector.

  • Methodical approach to problem solving and embodies pro-active and driven approach to see changes through to completion.
  • Ability to be reflective, accept criticism and act constructively.
