Kingsbridge Private Hospital is currently seeking to recruit additional Nurse's within the Outpatient department. The successful candidate will be primarily based at Kingsbridge Private Hospital but must be able to travel to various other clinic locations as and when required.

Job Summary

To actively participate in the provision of a high quality, effective and efficient Outpatient service. The post holder will ensure that high standards of service and care are maintained in accordance with the Company ethos and practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To set and maintain high standards of personalised patient care.
  • To comply with legislative and Company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and maintain policy and procedures.
  • Proactive in supporting senior staff.
  • Ability and willingness to keep up to date of new developments within a growing industry.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with other clinicians.
  • Awareness of governance issues that reflect safe practice and reduction of any potential risks related to telephone advice.
  • Adherence to privacy, confidentiality, informed consent, and security policies.
  • Ability to tailor communication to the patient needs.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse on Part 1 of NMC register.
  • Degree qualified with a minimum of 2-3 years post registration experience.
 
  • Preferable GP / treatment room / Practice Nurse experience, but not essential.
  • Preferable acute service experience such as A&E.

Experience

 
  • 2 years’ experience at Band 5-6 or above (management / team leader experience).

 

Special Knowledge and Skills

 
  • Knowledge of current standards within the service.
  • Integration of telehealth in nursing practice.
  • Establishing a therapeutic relationship using telehealth.
  • Effective clinical decision-making.
  • Reflective safe practice.
  • Ethical use of information.
  • Human factors and ergonomics of technology use.
  • Willingness to undertake training and development, when necessary.
 
  • Evidence of treatment room / Practice Nurse / outpatient services further education (diploma / modules / degree).
  • IT skills.
  • Proficient at telephone assessment and advice.
  • Triage / assessment skills.
  • Policy and procedure development experience.
  • Experience of audit, research, and other quality initiatives.
