Professor Paul McGlinchey’s Profile

Professor McGlinchey qualified as a doctor in 1995 and has specialised in cardiology since 1999. He has been a Consultant in the health service since 2006 and has considerable experience in all aspects of cardiology.

Professor McGlinchey was the lead clinician in the western trust from 2018 until 2023. He trained in general cardiology, interventional cardiology (includes treatment of diseased coronary arteries with balloons and stents), pacemaker and loop recorder implantation. He has also provided the inherited cardiac diseases service in the western trust since 2015 and has completed over 50 medicolegal reports for both plaintiffs and defendants.
