Michele Kavanagh’s Profile

Prof Michele Kavanagh is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who is based within the Northern HSC Trust. She is the lead Perinatal Psychologist for the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. 

She is Honorary Professor with the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast. She has over 20 years with young people, families and parents in distress. She more recently has worked in organisation wellbeing and is an international trainer with the mindful birthing foundation. 

Prof Kavanagh offers private perinatal psychological care at the Maypole Clinic in Holywood. She can provide a package for adults undergoing fertility where there is mental health challenges, past perinatal loss and birth trauma. 

Prof Kavanagh will also see adolescents with a variety of development challenges to their wellbeing, young adults as well as adults struggling with transition and change (see treatment areas).
