He treats a wide range of ENT conditions often taking referrals from consultant colleagues for complex nasal cases.

Mr Farnan graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a degree in Medicine in 1996 and completed specialist ENT training in 2009.  He then completed a fellowship in nasal surgery with Mr Julian Rowe-Jones in Guildford, Surrey where he gained extensive experience in both advanced cosmetic rhinoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery.

Mr Farnan has a special interest in conditions affecting the nose and sinuses, including sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, deviated nasal septum and nasal polyps. He regularly performs endoscopic sinus surgery, rhinoplasty and septoplasty and has performed several thousand nose and sinus procedures during his career in ENT.

Typically patients will present to his clinics with symptoms such as nasal blockage, congestion in the sinuses, runny nose, or facial pain. He appreciates how these problems can have a significant impact on quality of life and Mr Farnan works in partnership with his patients to develop a plan of investigation and management. He is aware that each patient is different and aims to provide an individual treatment strategy for each one. If symptoms cannot be controlled with medication or lifestyle changes they can be assured that he will use all his experience to guide them safely through their operative journey.
