Timothy Joseph White’s Profile

Tim is a practising Colorectal/General Surgeon working within the Western Trust Northern Ireland. He is the Clinical Lead for Emergency Surgery in the Western Trust and has been heavily involved in the reconfiguration of General Surgery both within the Trust and Northern Ireland.

He qualified from University of Sheffield 1997, and undertook surgical training in Hull, Nottingham and Melbourne Australia before taking up a Consultant position in Chesterfield, Derbyshire in 2012. There he held roles as Colorectal management lead and Emergency Surgery lead. Within his private practice he was Endoscopy lead – steering the Unit to achieve JAG accreditation.  After 9 years, he returned to Northern Ireland in 2021. He is also on the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Court of Examiners and also one of 10 Independent Medical Examiners in Northern Ireland.

Tim performs both upper and lower Endoscopy and is a recognised trainer in Colonoscopy. He has special interest in Colorectal cancer and benign anorectal conditions.
