Mr. Mohammad Samir Dowlut is a dedicated Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist with a rich background, contributing over two years of expertise within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. His focus lies in the domains of cataract and vitreoretinal surgery.

Mr. Samir Dowlut’s journey in Ophthalmology commenced with his graduation from the University of Birmingham in 2008. Following this, he embarked in comprehensive Ophthalmology training (Northern Ireland), culminating in his completion of the program in August 2018. Eager to refine his skills further, he sought and successfully completed fellowships in medical retina/vitreoretinal surgery at Southend NHS Hospital, followed by an immersive experience in high-volume vitreoretinal surgery at Moorfield’s Eye Hospital.

He takes pride in his extensive experience, having performed over 2400 intraocular surgeries. His commitment to this field extends beyond technical proficiency; He views surgery as a transformative force in enhancing eye care. This passion fuels his unwavering dedication to advancing patient outcomes through use of new and proven technologies.
