Malinka Rambadagalla’s Profile

Malinka Rambadagalla is a consultant neurosurgeon. He has 19 years of clinical experience, 10 years of which have been as a consultant neurosurgeon. He has practiced as a consultant in the public and private sector in Latvia. He operates on average over 300 cases a year with a complication rate of less than 2%.

Malinka has been a lecturer for the University of Latvia for undergraduate and postgraduate students. He was a committee member of the EANS (European Association of Neurosurgery Societies) post graduate education committee.

Malinka’s passion is to improve the quality of life of his patients through spine surgery. He believes surgeons should constantly try to push the envelope to improve their patient care. To do this he constantly updates his knowledge and skills by attending courses and conferences. He is proficient in complex spine surgery and minimally invasive spine procedures. His private practice rooms are at Kingsbridge private hospital Sligo.

He has been in health committees in city councils and hospitals to improve patient care. He believes in education of patients and upcoming doctors, so he organises educational seminars.
