David Neely’s Profile

Mr David Neely is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with specialist interest in Colorectal Cancers and benign disease of the colon, gallbladder and abdominal wall.

Mr Neely qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007. He has completed basic and specialist surgical training in Northern Ireland and Western Australia. He was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in 2018 and subsequently Antrim Area Hospital.

His surgical practice includes investigating and managing patients with colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, haemorrhoids, perianal fissures and fistulae. He provides both open and laparoscopic surgery.

Mr Neely welcomes surgical referrals for conditions relating to the gastrointestinal system, hernias, gallbladder and perianal conditions. He also welcomes referrals for OGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and minor ops.
