David Mulholland’s Profile

Mr. Mulholland has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Western trust since 2000, retired from full time practice 2023.

He was Clinical Lead Ophthalmology in the Western Trust 2017-2000 and Governance and Audit Lead 2009-2017

He set up the Western Trust macular service for injection treatments of macular disease in 2007 and led the service since.

Qualifications

  • MB ChB BAO with Honours Queens University Belfast 1989 
  • 2 years general medical training 1990-1992
  • Ophthalmology training Royal Victoria hospital Belfast 1992 – 2000

  • Vitreoretinal Fellowship Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital 1998-1999
