David Milligan’s Profile
Mr David Milligan is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon
specialising in primary hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, and lower limb trauma.
Mr Milligan is a dual fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon whose
practice is centred on primary hip and knee replacement. He graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2013, winning the Wilson Orthopaedic excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his specialty training in Northern Ireland in 2022, and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2022.
Mr Milligan completed prestigious subspecialty fellowships prior to
taking up his consultant post. He completed a Hip & Knee
Arthroplasty Fellowship at Christchurch Hospital, New Zealand, and a Revision Arthroplasty Fellowship at Northumbria NHS Trust.
His approach uses proven implants, careful pre-operative preparation and evidence-based recovery pathways, informed by national registry and audit data.
