Mr Daniel Dawson’s Profile

Mr. Dawson completed his undergraduate medical training at Queens University Belfast in 2009.  .

Although he enjoyed several surgical specialities throughout medical school, orthopaedics is what captured his imagination. 

Mr. Dawson won the Wilson Orthopaedic Medal in 2009 and embarked upon his post graduate medical career later that year.  Over the course of the next six years, he rotated through various surgical specialities including, general surgery, plastic surgery and of course trauma & orthopaedics, including Hip and Knee Surgery, before commencing specialist training in trauma & orthopaedics in 2015. 

He completed his specialist training in August 2021 before taking up a fellowship post in Waikato, New Zealand.  During his time working in New Zealand he specialised in arthroplasty, both primary and revision procedures.  Mr. Dawson also gained experience in robotic knee surgery which is an exciting development in the orthopaedic sphere.
