Miss Máiríde McGuire

Miss Máiríde McGuire completed both her Medical and Masters degree in NUI, Galway before completing specialist training in Ophthalmology in Ireland and gaining membership to the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland in the specialist field of Ophthalmology, and then advanced to gaining Fellowship of the European Board of Ophthalmologists.

Miss McGuire has completed a highly competitive ocular fellowship in the Bristol Eye Hospital, in the area of retinal disease and uveitis.  

She is a member and sits on the board of the Irish College of Ophthalmologists.

She is an examiner for undergraduate Ophthalmology in NUI, Galway and is both a trainer and examiner for postgraduate Ophthalmology speciality schemes.

Miss Máiríde McGuire has written a number of peer reviewed journal articles and was a sub-investigator on many pivotal international medical retina and uveitis trials.
