Dr Simon J.K Hawe’s Profile

Dr Simon Hawe’s medical Undergraduate training was undertaken at the University of Glasgow.

After qualifying, Dr Hawe worked in Scotland and Australia for nearly 4 years, predominantly in Emergency Medicine, but also in Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Intensive Care.

Dr Hawe then returned to Northern Ireland in 2008 to complete his GP training and has been working as a GP in the NHS for over 11 years, 10 of those as a GP partner in a large practice. Dr Hawe has also been a GP trainer since 2018.

Personal profile

Dr Hawe has been married for 19 years and has 3 boys. He enjoys travel, beekeeping, the natural world and staying physically fit.

Team sport has been a constant for most of his life, especially rugby.
