Neil Patterson’s Profile

Dr Patterson is a Consultant Gastroenterology based at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast Trust since 2009. He previously was a Consultant In Antrim Area Hospital from 06-09.

During his Specialty Training he undertook a Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship post at St Marks Hospital London in 2005 developing specialist Endoscopy/Colonoscopy Techniques and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

He is currently Bowel Cancer Screening Lead for the Belfast Trust and has previously been Clinical Director for Gastroenterology in the Trust and Training Programme Director for Gastroenterology Trainees in Northern Ireland.

He specialises in all areas of General Gastroenterology and is one of the team of Consultants specialising in Inflammatory Bowel Disease in the Belfast Trust.
