Dr. Karen McKinney’s Profile

Dr McKinney has a longstanding interest in the management of menopause and HRT over the past 30 years. She has worked in the menopause clinics in Portland, Oregon and in the Belfast Trust menopause service.

On taking up her consultant appointment Dr McKinney established a dedicated menopause clinic providing a high quality specialist service for the women of the Southern Trust area. She is involved in teaching about menopausal women’s health to GP’s and hospital doctors. She spoke at the World Menopause Day seminar for SHSCT staff to raise awareness of menopausal issues in the workplace.

Dr McKinney has a special interest in menopause which she has developed and enhanced during her 30 years of practice in Gynaecology.
