Dr Eccles’ Profile

Dr Eccles is a Consultant Gastroenterologist, normally based at Ulster Hospital, South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. He completed his consultant specialist training within Northern Ireland, followed by a one-year Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy with University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Canada.

His main specialist areas include therapeutic endoscopy, particularly endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), balloon-assisted enteroscopy and luminal stenting, inflammatory bowel disease, and functional gut disorders (including IBS).
