Gary David Wright’s Profile

Dr Gary D Wright qualified in Medicine from Queens University Belfast in 1987. His postgraduate training in Rheumatology was in Belfast and Nottingham. <

He is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Queens University Belfast and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, Edinburgh and Ireland and a member of the British Society for Rheumatology.

He is past President of the Irish Society for Rheumatology 2012-2014. He was the Royal College of Physicians of London Regional Advisor for Northern Ireland from 2008-12.

In 2014 he was awarded The European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFFSUMB) Level 3 Certification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

He was Guest Editor: “Unusual and memorable” Educational series in The Annals of Rheumatic Disease 1998-2005.

To date he has 67 peer reviewed research publications in all areas of Rheumatology.

Current NHS Posts

Dr Wright holds an NHS Consultant post at the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust.
