David Sweet’s Profile

Dr David Sweet MD MRCP(Ire) FRCPCH David Sweet is a fully registered consultant paediatrician with a special interest in newborn care. David Sweet graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1990 and trained in Paediatrics and Neonatal Medicine in Northern Ireland and Western Australia.  

Appointed as a consultant Neonatologist in the Regional Neonatal Unit in the Royal Maternity Hospital in Belfast in 2003, and Honorary Clinical Lecturer for the Dept of Child Health, Queen’s University in 2007.  30 peer reviewed publications and review articles to date, mostly related to the evolution of neonatal respiratory disorders. Dr Sweet is happy to offer paediatric opinion on babies and children up to the age of 3 years. Routine newborn examinations are included with Dr Glenn’s obstetric care package but can also be booked independently. Dr Sweet can offer advice of the management of colic, reflux, constipation, tongue tie, milk intolerance or any general concerns about baby’s development or wellbeing.

Dr Sweet can also offer medicolegal opinion on aspects of neonatal care.
