Conleth Murphy’s Profile

Dr Conleth Murphy is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust based in the Royal Victoria Hospital with special interests in general cardiology including hypertension, interventional cardiology, the management of ischaemic heart disease and percutaneous coronary intervention (stent insertion). 

Dr Murphy trained primarily in Northern Ireland but his two-year sub-specialist fellowship was completed in Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney.

He specialises in investigating and treating adult patients with a wide array of Cardiology symptoms and conditions. He has specialist training and extensive experience in Interventional Cardiology, which is a keyhole assessment and treatment of heart conditions (cardiac catheterisation, stent insertion, intravascular imaging etc). This includes emergency treatment of myocardial infarction (heart attack). He also has an interest in the investigation and treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).
