Dr. Claire McHenry’s Profile

Dr McHenry is a Consultant Endocrinologist in the Regional Centre for Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, managing types 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus and a wide range of general endocrinology including thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and calcium disorders.

She graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2001 and trained mainly in Northern Ireland including a period of research and a Doctorate in Medicine in diabetes, hypertension and pituitary disease. Prior to taking up a substantive consultant post in Northern Ireland, she was a consultant in the National Pituitary Centre of Ireland, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.

Subspecialist interests include pituitary disease, diabetes in pregnancy and neuroendocrine tumours.
