Kingsbridge Wrapped 2025
What a year it’s been! As we reflect on 2025, it’s been a year of growth, collaboration and impact across Kingsbridge Healthcare Group. From expanding access to care to strengthening community partnerships, each milestone reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare across Ireland.
In March, Kingsbridge Private Hospital Partnered with Vhi, the Largest Private Health Insurer in the Republic of Ireland. The extended partnership will provide Vhi members with a broader range of options, faster access to surgeries and medical consultations in Belfast as well as enhanced post-surgical care for joint replacements. These services will be delivered in an efficient clinical setting, located within an hour’s drive for hundreds of thousands of Vhi members in the Republic of Ireland.
In April, our Kingsbridge Foundation made waves with their first-ever Dragon Boat Race, raising much needed funds for Cancer Fund for Children, and in support of CEO Suresh Tharma and Medical Director Martin Shields in their 26Mountains2Mayo Challenge.
In May, we had a night of success at the Private Healthcare Excellence Awards were CEO Mark Regan won the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry’ award. A very well deserved recognition from starting his career on the frontline as a radiographer to leading a pioneering healthcare group, defined by vision, compassion and impact.
In June, Kingsbridge Sligo took home the ‘Clinical Team of the Year’ award at the Irish Healthcare Centre Awards held in Dublin, recognising their exceptional care, innovation and dedication to delivering outstanding Ophthalmology services to the North West of Ireland.
Also in June, Kingsbridge Healthcare Group was recognised by the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) with the Vision 2025 – Leaders Driving Growth Awards for Northern Ireland. As the winner in the Large Category, Kingsbridge Healthcare Group was distinguished for its strong performance across critical dimensions: outstanding growth, innovation, competitiveness, and ESG commitment.
In July, Kingsbridge Private Hospital group returned as the title sponsor of the Irish News Ulster All-Stars. This was the fourth year we have been involved as sponsors and the second year as title sponsors. Recognising the very best attributes of our top Gaelic Games athletes – their dedication, leadership and values resonate deeply with us at Kingsbridge.
In September, our Kingsbridge Foundation launched its Bright Beginnings Programme alongside Harberton and Orchardville – an exciting new work experience initiative that reflects our commitment to creating opportunities, investing in potential, and building brighter futures together.
In October, Kingsbridge Sligo teamed up with Coolera Strandhill GAA. As part of the sponsorship, our Kingsbridge logo features proudly on the nursery team kits and on the jumpers worn by coaches, supporting Coolera Strandhill GAA at grassroots level and playing a vital role in helping children to build friendships, stay active and develop their skills in a fun environment.
Also in October, we were delighted to announce that Newry Private Clinic had officially joined Kingsbridge Healthcare Group, alongside a new partnership with the Mid-Ulster Clinic in Magherafelt. This important milestone further strengthens our commitment to providing fast access to five-star care for patients across Ireland.
Another exciting milestone for October saw the launch of our new website and how we present ourselves online – featuring a fresh, modern design, improved navigation, and a greatly enhanced user experience for our patients and the wider public. Explore more at kingsbridgeprivatehospital.com
October was a busy month as we also Stepped up for Breast Cancer Awareness, taking on 8,008 steps and hosting fundraising events across all sites of the Group. An amazing £15,000 was raised and presented to Pretty N’ Pink.
In November, our Kingsbridge Foundation was announced as the key sponsor of the Ulster Orchestra’s School Concert Series. With 4,000 pupils learning about the Five Steps to Wellbeing through the power of music, this project perfectly reflected our mission to support healthier, happier communities across Northern Ireland and it was lovely to see how involved the children were and the enjoyment the received from these incredible shows.
In December, our Kingsbridge Foundation completed its Festive Cheer Initiative by visiting nine nursing homes to help put up decorations and spread seasonal joy. We had such fun with the staff and residents and hope we brough a little extra Christmas cheer with us! Take a look back at all our beneficiaries this year.
Together, these achievements mark a strong year for Kingsbridge. As we look ahead to 2026, we remain focused on building on this momentum, continuing to innovate, and making an even greater impact for our patients, people and communities.
On a final note, we want to wish all our patients, staff, clients, family and friends a very joyful New Year – may it be a year filled with good health, new beginnings, and continued care.
Thank you for being part of our journey, we look forward to supporting you in 2026 and beyond.
