Alice’s Journey to Recovery – With a Little Festive Cheer

17th December 2025

Arriving at Kingsbridge for surgery is a big step, but for Alice, it marked the beginning of a positive journey towards recovery – just in time for the festive season.

Alice attended Kingsbridge last week for knee surgery and is already back home, recovering well and looking ahead to Christmas and the New Year with renewed confidence. After living with joint pain for some time, she’s now on the road to regaining her mobility and returning to the activities she loves.

Reflecting on her experience, Alice shared: “The care I’ve received so far has been excellent. From the way I was greeted at the door, everybody was so nice – getting me coffee – I was very, very happy.

From the moment she arrived, Alice was warmly welcomed by our reception team and supported every step of the way, helping her feel at ease ahead of her procedure.

Before coming to Kingsbridge Private Hospital, Alice had been waiting 2-3 years for treatment. After speaking with her GP and requesting a referral, her journey progressed quickly. She was able to attend her consultation and have X-rays taken on the same day, and surgery was scheduled just a few weeks later.

This festive season, Alice’s story is a reminder of the importance of movement and the difference timely care can make to quality of life.

Stay tuned to follow more of Alice’s journey!
