Patient Records Team Leader

Kingsbridge Private Hospital is currently seeking to fill the role of Patient Records Team Leader within the Patient Records department. The successful candidate will be based at Falcon Way, but may be required to travel to other Company locations as and when required.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all aspects of patient records. This will involve managing the Patient Records Department and ensuring all patient records and reports are available when required and within an appropriate turnaround time. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that Kingsbridge Healthcare Group is meeting its targets and ensuring patients have a smooth transition throughout their pathway.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all patient results are available for clinician review (Laboratory and Radiology).
  2. Guarantee patients receive correspondence within the agreed timeframe, making sure both clinical and admin staff are aware of these.
  3. Deal with queries around patient notes and respond within agreed turnaround time.
  4. Monitor and improve provider delivery, reliability and reduce lead times where possible.
  5. Verify the information contained in the patient record is complete, accurate and only available to authorised personnel.
  6. Able to motivate and maintain good people management practice.
  7. Identify training needs and co-ordinate delivery.
  8. Effective planning - Plan, prioritise, organise, and review progress of work. Ensure all plans are followed and objectives are met.
  9. Formulate and execute best solutions where problems arise.

Person Specification:

Qualifications

Essential

  • Evidence of experience in the full MS Suite including Word and Excel

Desirable

  • Undergone Management training

Experience

  • Supervisory Experience
  • Working to deadlines and tight turnaround times

Desirable

  • Previous Experience in healthcare

Special Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Ability to communicate and build relationships both internally and externally with providers.
  • Customer Service Manager
  • Understanding of the General Data Protection Regulations and the importance of that as the tasks require high attention to GDPR within the department

  • Understanding of the operational aspects of the company and how patients move through the pathway
