Kingsbridge Private Hospital is making it easier for you to take control of your cardiac health.
Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of death in the UK. Disease prevention strategies give you control of your cardiac health.
If you are over 40 and concerned about your diet, lifestyle, stress levels or family history, we can offer you the opportunity to have your heart disease risk assessed.
At Kingsbridge Private Hospital, our team of Consultant Cardiologists and clinicians can offer a Healthy Heart assessment (Stage 1) to include:
- Physical examination
- Family History
- Height, weight and BMI
- Cholesterol and blood pressure check
- Cardiovascular Risk evaluation
- 12 lead ECG
- Exercise stress test/treadmill or echocardiogram
- CT calcium scoring and/or cardic CT angiography***(Stage 2)
All test results will be discussed, lifestyle modifications advised and any further investigations can be arranged for you at your convenience.
What is the process of a healthy heart assessment?
The healthy heart assessment has been broken into 2 stages:
The 1st stage consists of an overall heart assessment that results in a Cardio Vascular System (CVS) risk analysis.
If the examining doctor feels that there is sufficient clinical justification, then a referral to the 2nd Stage (CT calcium scoring and/or CT cardiac CT angiography) can be arranged.
