Practising at Kingsbridge Private Hospital, Belfast & Maypole Clinic, Holywood. Specialist in all aspects of spinal surgery including: low back pain, degenerative conditions of the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine, and all aspects of children’s spinal surgery.
I graduated from Queens University of Belfast Medical School in 2006 and went on to complete my Higher Surgical Training in Northern Ireland, gaining my membership of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010.
I completed 6 years of Specialty Training in Trauma & Orthopaedics in Northern Ireland, including 3 years of dedicated Spinal Surgery Training, and was awarded my Certificate of Completion of Training and entered into the GMC’s specialist register in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2016.
I completed my FRCS Trauma & Orthopaedic examinations in 2015 and was awarded the Sir Walter Mercer Gold Medal for the highest marks in the examination across the whole of the UK. In 2016 I was elected as the UK’s Young Ambassador to the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association and presented ground-breaking Orthopaedic research at their International Conference in the same year in Hong Kong.
In 2016/17 I completed a 1 year specialist fellowship in Children’s Spinal Surgery in Dublin under the tutorage of Mr Pat Kiely, one of the most highly regarded and highest volume paediatric spinal surgeons in the world. On completion of my fellowship I returned to Belfast in 2017 and took up a Consultant post in The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust in Spinal Surgery where I continue to practice across the Royal Victoria Hospital, Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and Musgrave Park Hospital.
I treat patients privately in Kingsbridge Private Hospital and The Maypole Clinic, Holywood. I am a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Association of Spinal Surgeons, the British Scoliosis Society and an active Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.
